Five new Data Centers in Brazil.
Ascenty, a leading Data Center company focused in Latin America, has increased its existing credit facility from $190mm to $350 million led by banks Itaú and ING. Other financial institutions including Banco do Brasil, Natixis, Credit Agricole, Santander and Citi were also involved in the transaction. This new funding will support the company’s expansion plans as it looks to grow to a total of 13 Data Centers by the middle of 2019.
“In this year, we started the construction of five new Data Centers, all in response to an increase in demand for high-quality data center services in Brazil. These additional investments underline the company’s potential, reflecting our strong operations and rapid growth. The market continues to show high demand for world-class data centers, low latency connectivity options and service excellence, all of which are part of Ascenty’s competitive advantages”, said Chris Torto, Ascenty CEO.
