Ascenty, the leading data center company focused on the Latin American market, announces that it will start operations at its second data center in Jundiaí, Brazil. The new unit will seek to meet the growing demand in the region – a local business hub – for high-quality data center solutions. The company invested BRL 150 million in the data center, which has 7,500 sqm in floor space and 16 MVA of power.
“We’re going to invest more in new data centers this year than any other year since Ascenty was founded. Our growth plan is to move approximately BRL 1 billion for the year, and the new Jundiaí unit is yet another step towards achieving that goal,” said Roberto Rio Branco, Ascenty’s VP of Marketing and Institutional Relations.
The launch is aligned with the strategy developed in conjunction with Digital Realty and Brookfield Infrastructure for the company’s growth in the region. With the transaction, Ascenty strengthens its position as the leading data center provider in Latin America. Besides high-quality infrastructure, the company also stands out for its dedicated fiber-optic network, which spans more than 4,500 kilometers and connects all units in operation.
“Our customers’ demand for interconnected cloud environments is constantly increasing. Ascenty stands out in this regard, because we offers an end-to-end connection through our own fiber-optic network, which connects the company’s office, major cloud providers and traffic exchange points. The new unit in Jundiaí connects to the network and is strategically located to meet the demands of the Brazilian market,” added Pablo Campagnac, Ascenty’s VP of New Business.
