GoCache to join Ascenty’s connectivity ecosystem

Ascenty, a market leader in data center services in Latin America – with 22 proprietary data centers spread across Brazil, Chile and Mexico, 15 of which are in operation and seven under construction –, announced that it has won a new partner and customer in GoCache, a company focused on content delivery network (CDN) and security solutions in Brazil.. Together, the companies will increase service delivery quality and capabilities by connecting to the nearest and fastest server, reducing latency.

With the deal, GoCache will distribute its content to Ascenty’s customers and also through the telecom carriers and ISPs in the Ascenty ecosystem, enabling long-range network access. In turn, Ascenty will widen its reach and add to the content diversity on its new Network Access Point (NAP), a complete ecosystem with high potential for connectivity and access to the main carriers, providers and content distributed around the world. Ascenty also expands the use of its connections to cable landing stations, through its proprietary 4,500-kilometer network that connects all of its operating data centers.

According to GoCache IT Operations Manager Derick Fontes, the company sought out Ascenty after identifying good opportunities for traffic exchange and interconnection, in addition to the benefits of a low-cost, high-capacity, high-availability and flexible interaction with customers. “We chose Ascenty because it allows us to grow within a reliable, carrier-neutral structure, and to integrate with a wide range of connectivity options across Brazil.”

Fontes also praised the Ascenty NAP. “With the integration of Ascenty’s NAP, we have access to’s traffic exchange points, in addition to AICX (Ascenty Internet Connectivity Exchange), giving us a real possibility of extending GoCache’s reach with agility and transparency through telecommunications interconnections.”

For Marcos Siqueira, VP of Operations at Ascenty, the move is part of the strategy of valuing interconnection options to keep up with the growing demand for agile and secure traffic exchange with increased mobility. “We are pleased to find a reliable partner in GoCache to drive our strategy and expand our content delivery choices and possibilities, as well as opening doors to a wide range of new business opportunities.”
